Children's Ministry provides dynamic, age-appropriate learning environments for newborns through sixth graders. Lee's Summit Community Church's children's programs are staffed by carefully selected volunteers who have passed a background check.
WEDNESDAY FAMILY NIGHT BEGINS SEPT. 8
Wednesday Family Night, including Awana for kids age three through sixth grade, begins on Sept. 8. Registration begins Sunday, Aug. 22, in the main lobby. There will also be a special registration night on Wednesday, Sept. 1. Learn more about Awana here.
Weekly ministry activities
SATURDAY
5:30 p.m. Nursery care is provided for infants through kindergartners. Children in grades 1-5 briefly stay with their parents in the adult worship service, then are dismissed to enjoy enriching activities.
SUNDAY
8 a.m. Nursery care is provided for infants through four-year-olds. Children age 5 and older accompany their parents to the adult worship service. (The 8 a.m. worship service is held September-May.)
9:30 a.m. Infants through third graders meet in classrooms at the church. Fourth through sixth graders meet in the church's east auditorium. For safety, parents must escort their children to and from the auditorium.

WEDNESDAY (Sept.-May)
6-8:30 p.m. Awana helps children learn God's word in a safe environment with fun games, music and group activities.
BAPTISM
On the third Sunday of each month, children can attend a class just for them about the meaning of baptism. This class is required to take part in one of the baptism services at LSCC.
SPECIAL EVENTS
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
This dynamic program for children is held for one week each summer. The 2010 dates were June 14-17.
IMPACT CAMP
This camp for fourth-sixth graders helps them grow in their faith while enjoying recreational opportunities and friends. The 2010 dates were July 12-16.
