VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

At Lee's Summit Community Church, there's no such thing as "just" a volunteer. Our members are the key to touching lives and changing our community and world. There is no distinction between clergy and laity: All of us are called to serve.

The gateway to volunteer service at LSCC is the 101 Newcomers Class. After attending the class and signing a commitment to ministry, you will be eligible to serve at LSCC. This assures that you agree with our statement of faith and philosophy of ministry. As a final step to becoming a member, you will participate in a membership interview that will help you to identify potential areas of volunteer service.

Where should you serve? That depends on your interests, talents, spiritual gifts and life experiences. We highly recommend our S.H.A.P.E. Class, which helps you discover your spiritual gift and ministry interests. In addition, your membership interview can help you to determine possible areas of service. Most people find that there is no substitute to simply rolling up their sleeves and trying opportunities on for size.

Let us know how we can help you find a place of service.
