Vacation Bible School at LSCC
**ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED. However, we still want to see you at VBS! Register in person on Sunday, June 25 in room 239 or arrive a bit early on Monday morning, June 26 to register the day of!**
Every kid is unique and wonderfully made in the image of God. June 26-29, children in first through sixth grade are invited to join us for this year's VBS to learn the Creator of all things created us to know and love Him. They will discover how they are made by God, made for a relationship with Jesus, and made to love others.
Follow the construction route to LSCC!
We have some road construction going on around LSCC which has made SW Jefferson a one-way road (north bound only). The good news is, there are easy alternate routes to get to us! See the map for more details.
Frequently Asked Questions
How old does my child need to be to participate in VBS?
VBS is for children entering 1st through 6th grade in fall 2017.
What if my child just completed sixth grade?
If your child just completed sixth grade, they are too old to participate in VBS. However, they can serve as a volunteer. (See the student volunteer registration form above)
How do I register for VBS?
You can register online (see the 'register your child' link above) or in person in the lobby at LSCC on Sunday mornings beginning May 28th.
How much does VBS cost?
VBS is free! However, if you wish to order a t-shirt, the cost is $5.
What is the drop-off and pick-up procedure?
Check-in begins at 8:35 AM each day of VBS. We will ask who is picking-up your child at the end of the morning. Once your child checks in, you will be directed to the main auditorium. There you will meet your child’s leaders. When VBS is finished for the day, you will need to come to the main auditorium to pick-up your child from their small group.
Side Note: You can check-in early on Sunday morning if you would like to speed up the check-in process on Monday. Early check-in will be open on Sunday, June 25th at LSCC during our Sunday morning services. You will receive your child’s t-shirt and wristband.
What do you do in case of an emergency?
We will attempt to contact you by phone ASAP. If we are unable to make contact, we will attempt to contact your child’s emergency contact.
What should my child wear?
Dress your child in short/jeans and a t-shirt and comfortable shoes. There is a potential for their clothing to get somewhat wet as some of the outdoor activities involve water.
Who is in charge of my child while at VBS?
There is a wonderful group of trained and background-checked adult and student (teen) volunteers that assist kids throughout the day. You are welcome to meet your child's group leader upstairs when you drop them off in the morning.
What if my child has allergies?
You can notify our staff of any allergies or medical conditions your child has on the registration form. We offer gluten-free options for snack if needed. Additionally, you are welcome to pack a snack for your child. Make sure it is clearly labeled with your child’s name and any special instructions.
What if I want to volunteer, but I have children who are too young to participate in VBS?
All volunteers must submit a volunteer registration form and consent to a background check. We host a Mini-VBS for children birth through kindergarten whose parents volunteer in VBS. You must be volunteering on-site for your child to participate in Mini-VBS.
Do I need to register in advance?
Although it is preferred, registering in advance is not required.
